Hvad er flisepest
Flisepest er et lav det planter sig på fliser udendørs, der er mange forskellige arter , men genkender den typisk som hvide pletter på fliserne. Der findes næsten 1000 forskellige arter af flisepest, det er små kolonier af lavarter (lichener, som forskerne kalder dem), bl.a. cement-kantskive (Lecanora albescens). Disse arter er i naturen knyttet til basiske klipper og kampesten, og derfor passer fliser med en let forvirret overflade dem perfekt som biotop.

Flisepest ses som oftes som hvide sorte elle grønne pletter.
Hvad kommer flisepest af
Flisepest kan i modsætning til alger leve i meget lang tid, uden nogen fast vandtilførsel. Det trives bedst i skygge og fugtige områder. Sollys i små mængder gør, at flisepesten trives aller best i samhør med fugt.
Kommer flisepest igen efter det er fjernet
Ved at afslutte behandlingen med en imprægnering, efter at den er renset i bund, får du en mere vandafvisende flise. Dette gør det sværere for flisepesten at danne rødder i flisen og hvis du vedligeholder den med algebehandling og imprægnering hvert år, kan du som oftes holde det væk.
